Course program
Fundamentals of the immune system, including innate and adaptive immunity, antigen recognition mechanisms (B and T receptors, MHC), antigen processing, and lymphocyte development. Immunopathology topics such as hypersensitivity reactions, autoimmunity, immunodeficiencies, transplant immunology, and antitumor immunity are also covered.
Lessons will be divided into three 4-hour modules, for a total of 12 hours, using lectures and PowerPoint presentations. Handouts and slides will be provided, and online research will be performed during the class and requested from students for further study.
