Course objectives

The course of the Digital Representation course aims at providing the students with the methods and techniques of the representation with graphic applications at different scales from the architectural to the urban, to allow the reading of existing building structures, the drawing of new architectures and the survey of buildings. Specifically, the course proposes the study of Descriptive Geometry methods, technical design, standardized graphic conventions and the foundations of CAD to prepare the student, future graduate surveyor, for the control of building and urban space. The course will also provide the basic tools and methods for the project, the execution and the representation of the buildings survey. The students will be able to use correctly the universal expressive language of drawing, as a tool of knowledge and analysis, and to elaborate three-dimensional digital models of relief and design to represent and intervene on the urban environment.
