Digital Systems for project management
Course objectives
Understanding and Knowledge The course is designed to equip students with the ability to develop their own understanding and knowledge acquisition methods, enabling them to develop their own lifelong learning model, following the path offered by the instructor: knowledge, competence, and awareness. Specifically, this skill will focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of developing and applying digital information modeling methodology, aimed at providing decision-making skills throughout the various phases of the construction process. The course is delivered using a flipped learning approach. Students thus become active participants in developing their understanding and knowledge skills, encouraged to share critical thinking. Ability to Apply Acquired Knowledge During the course, students will be involved in problem-solving for the implementation of digital methodologies for generating information for decision-making in the built environment. This involvement will be achieved through practical activities, through the provision of real-world application cases. These activities will be conducted using team-building methods, including games for study groups and techniques such as design thinking, to foster an active collaborative experience among all participants. Assessment of Learning At the end of the course, students will demonstrate a high level of learning ability related to the digital information modeling methodology used to inform decision-making throughout all phases of the construction life cycle. These skills will be assessed primarily through an exam, in which students will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and awareness acquired throughout their course in order to design, develop, and apply the digital information modeling methodology for construction quality.
