Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to: - understand the risk-return characteristics of the main managed savings instruments; - analyze the contractual peculiarities, operating methods, and purposes of the main managed savings instruments; - comprehend the main reference frameworks of the managed savings sector; - develop skills in analyzing investment choices.
The student will be able to communicate clearly and in a structured manner, using appropriate technical language, concepts, and analyses related to investment instruments both in academic and professional contexts.

:- the structure of the Italy market asset management and the role of financial advisory;
- the development of the asset management industry;
-the development of th regulatory framework;
- the main financial instruments of asset management: contractual characteristics, risk-return profile;
- Collective asset managers and other non-bank financial intermediaries
- Asset management companies (SGR)
- Investment companies with variable capital (SICAV)- Brokerage firms (SIM);
Harmonized open-end investment funds: actively managed funds, passively managed or index funds
- ETFs: characteristics, functioning, risk-return profile-
Alternative investment funds: closed-end financial AIFs, closed-end real estate AIFs, closed-end ELTIFs and reserved hedge fund AIF;
c) Portfolio management and performance evaluation also ESG oriented
