- Tissue biomechanics, the investigative approach; - The constitutive equations of the biological tissues; non viscous fluid; newtonian fluid, the Hooke elastic solid; - The mathematical models of the viscoelastic materials; - The connective tissue: ligaments and skin; how to measure the tissue viscoelasticity; creep and stress-relaxation: hysteresis loop; complex compliance; Volterra-Wiener series. - The muscle tissue: isometric test, twitch and tetanic test, isontonic test, after load and hill curve.
