To improve the knoledge in the field of road construction. To give a complete overview in tha European regulations and criteria for selection of materials and for managemet of road contraction works,To gave the knoledge to completely design, manage and control the construction of a road.

Course program
Rheology of road materials and tensile-deformative behaviour of road layers. Subgrade, subbase and control procedures. Bitumen and bituminous concrete characteristics and test methods in Italy, Europe and USA. Design methods for cement concrete and bituminous concrete pavements. Pavement distress. Survey procedures, local and high speed. Fatigue and rutting prediction. Plants for the road materials production and recycle. Recycle of bound and not bound layers. Pavement management systems.

Knowledge of the subject of the exam of Progetto e Costruzione di Strade
