THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING

Course objectives

The course aims at providing an introduction to the history of Christianity, with special reference to Early Christianity, together with an overview on methodological and applicable aspects of the discipline. Students will be guided through a direct reading and critical understanding of the sources. The course deals with the topics of the formation of the first communities of believers in Christ, as well as of their internal dialogue and the relationship they maintained with Pagan and Jewish environments. The critical approach set out by the course is intended to highlight the marked multiplicity of Early Christian identities, which will be explored through the analysis of the documentation available to us. This wants to enable the students to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in other fields of study while using the correct specific language; besides, it develops autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines and cultural contexts.
