Archaeology

The course aims to address the complex issues of the transition from the late antique economic system to the new forms of exploitation and management of resources in the Middle Ages. The analysis will focus on the settlement choices and the land organization of the lay or ecclesiastical (abbey and diocesan) seigniories of the Middle Ages in some territorial contexts. Some of the lessons will be held by invited scholars and experts. Seminar activities are foreseen, entrusting the students with individual research.

Interview and evaluation of a project. Students evaluation will be based on the following parameters: knowledge, active involvement in classes, reasoning, learning.
