EXPERIMENTAL ARCHAEOLOGY
Course objectives
The course aims to present the experimental archeology approach, its academic development and diffusion, the links between experimental archeology and other archaeological methods. Furthermore, a key point of the course is to scrutinize and to discuss what an "experimental protocol" means and how to apply it for the interpretation of the archaeological findings.

Course program
The course will be characterized by a theoretical session on the method of the experimental archeology and a ample practical part aimed at organizing and carrying out experimental protocols for the confirmation of archaeological hypotheses. This confirmation will take place through the reproduction of activities and replicas of archaeological artefacts which will be followed by a broad discussion on the results achieved through the application of the method.
