Sciences and techniques of social work

The program revisits and analyzes in depth certain topics related to classical and modern sociology. It also introduces students to contemporary sociology, with particular reference to the main global social issues such as migration, ethnicity, race, gender, and sexuality; stratification and inequality in global society; globalization, change, and social movements. The second part of the course explores the theme of security and insecurity in contemporary Western societies, with particular reference to welfare systems.
