Course program
The teaching "Institutions and public action for sustainable development" will provide theoretical and conceptual tools to answer the following questions: What are the public institutions involved in policies for sustainable development (SvS) in Italy? How can the institutional grammar of this policy area be reconstructed? What is the regulatory framework in which the SvS strategies of territories and non-public actors are defined? In particular, public actions for sustainable development will be read starting from three key words: regulate, communicate, act sustainability. The final part of the module will explore the relationship between sustainable development and the One Health approach.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the theories and analytical approaches of political sociology, sociology of administration, and the sociology of public action is a useful pre-requisite

Exam mode
The "Institutions and public action for sustainable development" module includes: - a written test (with open-ended, individual questions, at the end of Part 1, with a mark out of thirty. - a short essay (3000 characters, individual), at the end of the Module, to argue the interpretative hypothesis with a mark out of thirty. The scores of the two tests will be averaged for the evaluation of the learning of the Module At the end of the Atelier, students will have to produce a research project and a Power Point presentation of the project itself. The work will be carried out in groups and the evaluation of the work will be provided in groups. The grade obtained will be averaged with the final grade obtained in the course Institutions and public action for sustainable development
