The course is aimed at students of master's degree courses who are already in possession of basic notions of Romance philology and linguistics and intends to present an exemplary case (an author, a text, a genre, ...) and of great relevance also methodological, placing it in the appropriate historical-literary context, highlighting the most relevant philological problems, inserting it in current discussions on the subject.
Specific training objectives are: the acquisition of in-depth and critically assessed skills around key issues of philological-novel studies; acquisition of a safe working methodology (critical analysis of the current bibliography, ability to work directly on ancient texts), also in relation to the most recent research directions; ability to discuss critical bibliography at an advanced level.
