The course aims to provide systematic knowledge of the subject and together tools for governing the sector, through a critical and problematic approach. The objective is to train operators capable of creating virtuous syntheses between diversified competencies, with a solid legal-administrative base, indispensable both to orient themselves in the normative context of reference, but also to make operational decisions and relate to the institutional and administrative system.

Educational objectives

The course aims to provide students with the tools to understand and manage the economic and managerial dynamics related to cultural institutions, whether private, public or nonprofit.
During the course students and students will acquire a solid foundation of the fundamental concepts and languages for interpreting business and managerial phenomena, developing a sound theoretical and practical understanding of the economic dynamics affecting the cultural sector.
Specific object of the course will be:
- an in-depth study of the role and peculiarities of businesses operating in the cultural sector
- The analysis of cultural organizations with the methodologies of business economics and management.
- The study of the main management activities of enterprises with special reference to cultural enterprises.

Educational objectives

In line with the educational objectives of the CdS, the course aims to provide the fundamentals of Classical Archaeology, facilitating the achievement of knowledge and analytical skills that complement and/or reinforce the skills achieved in the first cycle of studies, enabling the student to conduct research, including original research, on cultural expressions of the classical world, as well as to independently analyze, understand and interpret archaeological spaces, monuments and material culture in their artistic, architectural, socioeconomic and political context of reference.
The course provides an in-depth study of the methods, objectives and content of Classical Archaeology, enabling the student to acquire a critical knowledge of the architectural and urbanistic manifestations, artistic production and craftsmanship of Greek and Roman civilization and,
at the same time, an ability to communicate what has been learned to both a scientific and a non-specialized audience.
During the lectures, the examination of a selection of contexts, monuments and artifacts useful for an interpretation of the anthropological and social aspects of the classical world will be proposed. In relation to the case studies considered, the tools adopted for the relevant management, protection and enhancement will also be addressed, and finally, space will be devoted to the application of modern technologies in the humanities and specifically the promotion of archaeological heritage.
