Course objectives

The course aims to address the issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, and in particular the aspects of quality of life in relation to oral health and prevention, primary, secondary and tertiary of the main diseases of the oral cavity. At the end of the course the student must know the main inflammatory pathologies of the dental elements and of the tooth support tissues; must know the traumatic diseases of the tooth and the maxillofacial district and the pre-neoplastic and neoplastic pathologies, all with particular attention to the diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, and to the pathogenesis and morphological and histological and clinical manifestations. At the end of the course the student must know in depth the protocols of primary prevention and must be able to plan and carry out targeted prevention interventions in the population groups at risk.
