Biomedical Laboratory techniques

The course provides fundamental knowledge of nursing principles and hygiene, with particular attention to patient and healthcare worker safety. Main topics include: Concepts of health, illness, and care. Role and functions of the nurse within the healthcare team. Basic human needs and holistic care. Principles of hygiene, asepsis, and infection prevention. Environmental safety and management of biological risk. Healthcare communication and the operator–patient relationship. Basics of ergonomics and patient handling. Introduction to the nursing process and healthcare documentation. The course integrates theoretical and practical perspectives to promote professional behaviour oriented toward care, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
