The Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques aims to prepare healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge in the field of clinical laboratory sciences and basic research techniques. The practical internship is designed to provide the fundamental knowledge necessary for students to learn the basic concepts required to work in both research laboratories and clinical analysis laboratories. Biomedical Laboratory Technicians independently carry out laboratory analysis and research activities related to biomedical and biotechnological analysis, particularly in biochemistry, microbiology, parasitology, pharmacotoxicology, immunology, clinical pathology, hematology, genetics, cytology, histopathology, immunohistopathology, and molecular biology. Graduates, in order to work with professional autonomy, will acquire a thorough understanding of the operation and principles of laboratory equipment in research and clinical settings, as well as knowledge of laboratory organization and management. To this end, significant emphasis is placed on learning the principles of operation of analytical instruments and understanding the principles behind analytical processes.
