Course program
Acquisition of knowledge and skills to handle the technical work in the workshop and testing room. Knowledge of the range of prosthetics and orthotics used in modern orthopedic techniques. Being able to understand what is prescribed by the doctor, ability to choose the most appropriate materials for the construction of prostheses and orthoses. Study and analysis for at least 10 cases of prosthesis for limb amputation top, bottom, of the hand and foot. Study and analysis for 10 cases of orthotic trunk (vertebral deformities and diseases and cervical). Study and analysis for at least 10 cases of orthoses of upper limb and lower. Study and analysis for 10 cases of foot orthoses (orthopedic shoes, insoles)
Prerequisites
Knowledge of human anatomy, human physiology and the main musculoskeletal pathologies.
