Course program
The course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of electromagnetic fields and their
applications in electrical systems, telecommunications, and materials processing, highlighting potential
risks for the general public and workers. The program is divided into five sections: 1) Phenomenology of
electromagnetic fields; 2) Applications of electromagnetic fields in telecommunications, medical systems,
and materials processing; 3) Risks associated with the use of electromagnetic energy, biological effects, and
preventive measures; 4) Introduction to techniques and instrumentation for measuring electromagnetic
fields; 5) Regulations on exposure to electromagnetic fields.
