GENERAL AND CLINICAL NURSING

Course objectives

At the end of the course, the student must demonstrate that he/she has acquired the knowledge necessary to develop critical judgment and the ability to analyze and synthesize information, the tools that allow a good knowledge of the patient, a rigorous, systematic and rational evaluation of the state of health, to plan, implement and evaluate the services that nursing deals with independently (nursing process applied to procedures) and collaboratively in relation to the satisfaction of the needs of the patient.

Care planning: diagnosis, outcome criteria, interventions, outcome indicators. Validation of the diagnostic hypothesis according to the NANDA taxonomy of nursing diagnoses. Health and nursing documentation. Definitions and purposes of nursing documentation. Principles and rules for recording and preserving nursing-related data. Legal and ethical considerations regarding professional responsibility in nursing documentation.
