Laboratory tests: pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phase.
Blood count: hemoglobin, erythrocyte and platelet indices and leukocyte formula
Biomarkers of nutritional status; muscle and bone enzymes.
Laboratory in liver metabolism: jaundice, markers of liver damage. Serum protein and protidogram.
Blood coagulation profile: phases of hemostasis and related laboratory tests. The patient on anticoagulant therapy.
Laboratory in kidney disease: the concept of acute kidney injury and chronic and acute kidney disease. Chemical, physical and morphological examination of urine.
Biological fluids, transudate and exudate; cytological examination of effusions, synovial fluid.
Inflammation markers.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the physiology and biochemistry of the main organs.
