Course program
Determinants of health and disease. Levels of prevention: primary, secondary, tertiary. Health promotion: individual and collective strategies. Health education and nursing counseling. Healthcare-associated infections: prevention and control. Environmental and occupational hygiene in healthcare settings. Vaccinations for healthcare workers and the general population.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of health determinants, human body functioning, and main environmental and behavioral risk factors. Ability to understand scientific texts in Italian.

A. Boccia, L. Manzoli, P. Villari (a cura di). Igiene, medicina preventiva, sanità pubblica. II ed., Idelson-Gnocchi. Lecturer-provided materials (slides, articles, guidelines, case studies).
Frequency
Attendance is mandatory. Participation is essential to acquire both the theoretical and practical skills of the course.
Exam mode
Written exam, including: Multiple-choice questions. Practical exercises and short open-ended questions on theoretical and applied content.
Lesson mode
