Course program
The core curriculum of the general surgeon will be focused on minimally invasive bariatric / metabolic surgery. The standard surgical procedures and their pathophysiological mechanisms will be analyzed in the induction of weight loss and in the control of obesity-related metabolic comorbidities. During the course the possible postoperative nutritional complications and the role of the dietician in the multidisciplinary team that takes care of the patient suffering from morbid obesity will be explained.

Teaching mode
Classroom. Mandatory the attendance.
The topics of each lesson will be focused on the role of the dietitian in the bariatric multidisciplinary team
