Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of cellular, chemical and physical biology acquired during high school courses are considered prerequisites.
Books
one to choose from the following (or similar texts):
Pontieri GM. Elementi di Patologia Generale - Per i Corsi di Laurea in Professioni Sanitarie. Edizione Piccin
Jeanette Anne Marie Maier, Massimo Mariotti. Elementi di Patologia generale e Fisiopatologia. McGraw-Hill
Pontieri G.M. Patologia Generale e Fisiopatologia Generale III o IV ed. Piccin
Frequency
Attendance at the in-person course is mandatory
Exam mode
A written test will serve as an ongoing evaluation immediately before the end of the lessons. If the result is satisfactory this test will be used for the oral evaluation.
Otherwise a normal oral evaluation will take place.
Lesson mode
The course takes place with lectures in which students are required a continuous interaction by favoring questions on the topics discussed during the lesson. At the end of the course, one last lesson is dedicated to the evaluation of the comprehension of the topics covered, through a self-assessment test.
