Teaching mode
The course is structured in lectures and exercises, following a seminar model in which each student is followed individually. The seven Themes are carried out in seven design seminars, each of which is coordinated by a tutor who will provide students with the basic materials and knowledge they need to complete the course. Each seminar is coordinated by a tutor, who will provide students with the basic materials and knowledge they need to start the exercise. to enable them to start the project exercise with ease. The exercise is divided into two phases: - the first phase consists of reading the intervention site, elaborating a representation of it through an "invention table" capable of communicating, through modern-contemporary references, the aesthetic-value principles of the preliminary project, in coherence with the indications of the master plan; - the second phase will deal with the PROJECT through closer scales. Two deliveries are foreseen for the two exercise phases.
Frequency
Attendance at teaching activities is compulsory. Attendance is recorded by the lecturer using the assessment methods established by the CCdS. In order to be able to sit the examination, attendance of lectures is required for a number of hours equal to or greater than 75% of the hours allocated to the individual modules, in accordance with the European reference standard.
Exam mode
Individual grading (out of 30) upon attendance verification. Final exam: oral discussion and presentation of deliverables (masterplan, thematic developments, communication). Criteria: quality/completeness, consistency with the MAAM brief, critical argumentation, outcomes of mid-term and final submissions. The examination, once the student's attendance at the workshop has been ascertained, is individual and will consist of an interview on the topics covered during the course and the final presentation of the design work. REQUIRED WORKS - an album containing the sketches that accompany the exercises carried out in the classroom and during the inspections, including images of any three-dimensional models of the study, physical or virtual, at different scales or any video footage; - digital tables in an adequate number and with at least the following drawings: general layout, architectural project with plans, sections, elevations and three-dimensional views, detailed elements, in scale 1:1000/1:500/1:200-100/1:50; - a free monochrome three-dimensional physical model to be agreed with the lecturer.
