Conversion of biomass and bioenergy into electricity; Wind energy; Solar power; other renewable sources: hydroelectric, geothermal and marine.
Electrochemical, electrostatic, mechanical accumulators. Other types of accumulators for renewable sources. Backup components, fuel cells.
Electronic components of static converters. AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters. Interfacing with the network.
Fixed and variable speed turbines. Wind farms. Connection to the network and related problems.
Photovoltaic panels. Photovoltaic systems. Methods for MPPT. Connection to the network and related problems.
Prerequisites
Basic notions of electrical and thermal engineering.
