BENGALI LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION I
Course objectives
General aims: Course in Bengali language, basic user (CEFR A1-A2). Specific aims: At the end of the course students are able to – 1) understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment); 2) communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters; 3) describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need; 4) catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements and understand short simple personal letters.
