Course objectives

The course focuses on the study of the basic concepts of public law and on the analysis of the sources of Italian law. By using suitable bibliography, the course provides the necessary practical knowledge for managing companies and tourist organisations. Students will be able to make personal judgments concerning the application of Public Law in the tourism sector and to assess its impact on professional activities. At the end of the course, the students will be able to undertake further independent learning in the field of Public Law; moreover, they will acquire the skills and confidence to build on and update their knowledge both in research and work practice.

Program - Frequency - Exams

Course program
The course will start from the analysis of the concepts of Order, Law and State. It will continue with the analysis of the sources of Italian law, focusing in particular on the ordering principles of the system of sources. The second part of the course, dedicated to the organization of public power, will be dedicated to the analysis of the principles of constitutional organization, with an introduction to the study of constitutional rights (with particular regard to individual freedoms) and the principle of equality, which an introduction to the study of the powers of the Constitutional Court will follow.

No prerequisites are required.

Exam mode
The exam consists of a written test, followed (in the event of a passing grade for the latter) by an oral question. The dates and times of the individual exam tests will be communicated electronically via the Infostud service within three days of the test.
