Course objectives

Consistently with the educational objectives of the course of study in which it is inserted, the course aims to provide basic knowledge and understanding skills in the field of ICTITOLOGY, with the support of advanced textbooks, and to enable the student to apply the acquired knowledge in a competent and reflective way, formulating judgments autonomously, communicating ideas, problems and reflections in a clear and correct way, and thus developing the necessary skills to undertake any subsequent studies. The course intends to provide a presentation of the Anatolian culture of the 2nd millennium BC, in particular by exemplifying the aspects of the ritualistic and magical experience of an ancient culture. Through the presentation of the Hittite language, the student will receive the experience of an archaic language of the Indo-European group.
