Archaeology

All interested parties are advised that the new degree program catalog, activated for this academic year (2025/2026), contains data that unfortunately cannot be modified as it was imported from the GOMP Program.
The degree programs in:
33540 Archaeology (LM-2)
33521 Archaeological Sciences (L-1)
33541 Cultural Heritage in the Near and Middle East, and in Africa (LM-2)
are courses scheduled annually, therefore all courses are incorrectly listed as first semester courses, even though this is not the case.
Classes will therefore take place in both the first and second semesters, and for the exact timing, please consult the individual instructors' pages.

Starting September 8, 2025, the Department of Ancient History will have a TEACHING ASSISTANCE OFFICE managed by a tutor, Dr. Modesto Alessandro (a student of Philology, Literature, and History of the Ancient World).
The office will provide support to all freshmen and/or students enrolled in the Department's courses.
