Degree programme choice orientation
The SOrT is the integrated Orientation Service of Sapienza. The service has a central office in the main university campus and local offices within the Faculties. At SOrT, students can find more specific information about Faculties and degree programs, as well as support in making their academic choices. The central office and Faculty professors coordinate incoming orientation and tutoring projects and provide information about academic offerings and administrative procedures for admission to degree programs.
Orientation initiatives and projects:
**1. “Open Days at Sapienza”.**
This initiative, held every year at the main campus, is the most important event dedicated to prospective students and beyond. During the three orientation days, participants can meet professors and other students, receive information, and attend presentations in the Aula Magna about all the Faculties’ academic offerings.
The initiative is aimed at anyone intending to enroll in Bachelor’s, Single-cycle Master’s, and Master’s degree programs at Sapienza, with particular attention to students in the final years of secondary school.
The event is an opportunity for all stakeholders to get to know Sapienza, its academic offerings, study spaces, cultural and social venues, and the many services available to students (libraries, study rooms, museums, student residences, sports facilities, and the university theatre).
In addition to academic information, participants can obtain guidance on administrative procedures, including enrollment processes and admission calls for entrance exams, both at Faculty stands along the campus avenues and in virtual stands.
Furthermore, to promote inclusive environments and access to higher education, the office for students with disabilities and specific learning disorders (SLD) organizes discussion spaces for managing academic careers through personalized study plans and the activation of available educational, financial, and logistical support. The office also guides students through the procedures for requesting support, including information on required clinical certifications.

**2. Sapienza Orientation Portal.**
To support students in choosing their degree program, the university has developed an online portal that provides an immersive preview of university life: users can explore the campus, classrooms, laboratories, libraries, theatre, and spaces dedicated to music and sports through interactive images and videos; access online learning modules; and assess and improve their preparation for admission or knowledge assessment tests.
The portal is also the main contact point for information on orientation events organized throughout the year by Faculties and Departments. It hosts presentation videos of Faculties and degree programs, especially newly established ones. All orientation initiatives are promoted through the university’s social media channels.

**3. Self-assessment tools (developed and scientifically validated by Sapienza experts).**

Sapienza supports students with disabilities and SLD in the important processes of orientation, evaluation, and admission.
The dedicated office assesses individualized arrangements for entrance exams based on the certifications provided.
For admission to programs with limited enrollment (local or national), students with disabilities can request compensatory measures (e.g., dedicated classrooms, additional time, reading tutors, accompanying tutors, LIS interpreters, calculators) following the procedures specified in admission calls.
Finally, the office, supported by specialized tutors, peer tutors, and LIS interpreters, provides reception and assistance to students in vulnerable conditions enrolling at Sapienza.

The Degree Program provides detailed information about its structure not only through standard channels (Faculty and Department websites) but also through a dedicated website designed to be comprehensive for students from diverse academic backgrounds.
A specific section of this website offers guidance aligned with the cultural and professional profiles defined by the program, helping students choose the most suitable educational path.
All official data (study plan, fees, internships) are available on the university website. Through a contact form, students can submit documents to verify admission requirements and ask questions. A dedicated email address is also available for further information or support with the application process.
The program’s academic tutor is available to provide information (courses, internship opportunities, etc.) and assist with enrollment procedures, including administrative aspects.
