Course objectives

Main teaching Objectives: - To know the structural organization of the human body with its main clinical anatomy applications at the macroscopic, microscopic, ultrastructural level, connecting the structural organisation and corresponding functions in a medical practice perspective. HUMAN ANATOMY I specific teaching objectives: To be able to: ­ identify and describe bones, joints and muscles at autopsy table, ­ identify and describe gross anatomy and structure of the heart, ­ Clinical integration through clinical and surgery anatomy seminars.

Course program
Human Anatomy (I) - General Anatomy: Anatomical terminology. General organization of the human body. - Skeletal system: Generalities on bones, joints and muscles. External skull and intracranial region. Vertebral column. Neck. Thoracic skeleton. Pectoral girdle and upper limb. Abdominal wall. Pelvic girdle and lower limb. - Cardiovascular system: Heart and great vessels. Pericardium. Coronary circulation. Conduction system.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, and physics.
