Course objectives

The student must acquire adequate knowledge of the most relevant diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, in terms of basic, nosographic, etiopathogenetic, pathophysiological, anatomopathological and clinical research.

Course program
Thoracic Surgery Fundamental: surgical anatomy of the chest; pneumothorax; benign and malignant pleural effusions; pulmonary abscess and gangrene; benign and malignant diseases of the airway; tumors of the lung, pleura and mediastinum; chest trauma; hydatid disease; surgical treatment of chronic respiratory failure.

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of thorax, lungs and mediastinum
