The educational path is the list of exams and other educational activities that the student intends to take, and is essential for viewing and booking elective or free-choice courses on Infostud.
It must be submitted online, through the "Educational Paths" interface on INFOSTUD, within specific date ranges:
Dates pending publication
After logging in, you must click on the appropriate section and complete the path online by following the guided procedure.
Elective courses can be selected from all the University's degree programs (using the Advanced Search function), with the following limitations and instructions:

  • Exams must be consistent with the educational path.
  • It is unacceptable to choose courses that overlap with courses in the current program (e.g., the Plant Ecology exam for the Biological Sciences degree program cannot be accepted because it largely overlaps with the Environmental Botany exam).
  • Exams must only be taken from courses within three-year degree programs (first level).
  • Think carefully about your choices before submitting your curriculum: The curriculum can only be submitted once per academic year.

Furthermore:

  • If you include exams from other departments and faculties, make sure you have identified the exact course and program code offered in the current year, otherwise you will not be able to view the exam schedules correctly. Also consider that prerequisites may be required. In the event of issues with incorrect grades or missing exam dates, the DBA's academic office cannot intervene, and you will need to contact the academic offices of the degree programs that offer the course.
  • Always check the semester in which the course is offered on the Degree Program pages of the Study Catalog (for the relevant academic year).
  • You can exceed the 12 credits required for electives by 3 credits by choosing one 6-credit exam and one 9-credit exam, provided you do not earn any other extra credits (e.g., with AAF exams).
  • Do not include "AAF training activities or other knowledge useful for the world of work" or any other course requiring only a passing grade (e.g., "for knowledge of at least one foreign language") among the electives. Only courses requiring a grade can be included.

Once completed, the system will indicate whether the educational path is correct. Otherwise, you can use the "ABC" function (top left) and the system will indicate any inconsistencies it has found.
Once the path is correct, you can click "Save as draft" or, if you are sure of your choices, you can submit it for validation.
Attention! The completed training path must be saved and submitted to the platform.

After submission, you must wait for approval to register for exam sessions for the optional and/or elective courses indicated. However, 24/48 hours after approval are required for the IT platforms to align and allow the exam sessions of the entered courses to be displayed on Infostud.
