At the Management Festival organised by SIMA – the Italian Management Society, held in Catania on 16 and 17 April, the team comprising Giorgia Danna, Flavia Fruncillo, Silvia Giustini and Giulia Luise from Prof. Cecilia Grieco’s Market Driven Management course was awarded first prize in the Make IT a Case competition. This initiative was organised by SIMA in collaboration with Invitalia as part of the ‘Female Entrepreneurship’ programme, funded by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy with resources from the PNRR and managed by Invitalia. The aim is to promote an entrepreneurial culture among women and support their presence in the world of work and business, with a particular focus on scientific and technological fields and the capacity to drive innovation.
The winners were selected from around 70 projects submitted by 17 universities across Italy. The group, which won a prize of €2,000, developed a business plan for Le Costantine, a foundation in the province of Lecce that preserves the art of traditional Salento weaving.
