Course objectives
Expected learning outcomes - To acquire the theoretical frameworks useful for interpreting applied and policy aspects of a gender approach in economics. Students will be provided with the tools to explain the relationship between gender inequalities and economic development. Particular attention will be paid to how a gender-difference approach can explain the evolution of women's and men's employment and wage patterns in the labour market. Competences to be achieved - Concepts, definitions and patterns of analysis of applied economics, with reference to current issues. Ability to deal with the concept of gender diversity from an economic point of view, both theoretically and empirically.
