Course program
The course, in the tradition of the sociology of work and organizations studies, to try to analyze how work in its different meanings (work, labor, action, occupation) responds to the challenges of sustainability, that is, the possibility of creating the conditions to develop professional skills and remain active throughout the life cycle by eliminating the factors that discourage or hinder entry, permanence and growth in the labor market. Beginning with the labor relations that determine the design of productive activities, processes and the quality of work, the workshop will seek to identify and make manifest the mechanisms within the organization of work that prevent or promote the achievement of more sustainable labor systems for workers, organizations and society as a whole. the course will focus on 3 approaches: gender studies, intersectionality and diversity management Since this is a workshop, the theories will be used as a guide for reasoning about the different data sources and indicators, concrete cases will also be discussed with the help of business experts.
Prerequisites
preliminary concept and framework of economic, labor and organizational sociology
Books
Texts and study materials are being finalized and will be announced in early September
Frequency
attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended
Exam mode
Since this is a workshop, students will be required to develop a small project, part of which will be implemented during the course, on issues related to social sustainability and gender inclusion
