Course objectives

Learning goals. Aim of the course is to allow students to broaden their knowledge of economics, sociology, and other social sciences in an interdisciplinary way. Knowledge and understanding. Historical perspective and awareness of the existence of different interpretative positions in the context of social sciences. Applying knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course students will be able to deal with different models in a critical way. Making judgements. Students will develop critical skills through different theoretical approaches. Communication skills. Students, through the study, acquire the language of different disciplines, which must be appropriately used both in written and oral exams. Learning skills. Students who pass the exam have learned a method of analysis that allows them to tackle the study of more complex models.
