Module "Environmental Certification"
The module will start on March 2nd 2023, Room F2, at 9,30.

I also inform that the next lesson (16th March) will take place online because the classroom is occupied by the graduation exams.

April 1st, 2023
I inform all students that the slides of the fifth lesson are available in the "Materiali Didattici" section of this site, and also on the Moodle platform.
Next Thursday (6th April) the University will be closed because of Easter holidays.
The next lesson will take place on the 13th April in room F2 at 9:30 am.
I also inform all of you that:
- the lesson of the 20th April will take place online at 9:30 am because the classrooms are occupied by the graduation exams.
- the lessons of the 27th April and 4th May will take place online at 9:30 am because I will be abroad for work reasons.
The subsequent lessons (11th May, 18th May and 25th May) will take place in room F2 at 9:30 am.

The next lesson will take place on the 25th May, 9.30 am, room F2. It will be dedicated to the preparation of the case study (refurbishment project of Flaminia 70 building with the aim of LEED Platinum certification).
The final lesson will take place on the 1st June, 9.30 am, room F2. It will be dedicated to a review of all the subjects of the course.
The exam will be oral and will consist of two parts: in the first part each student will present the results of the case study. In the second part I will ask a few question about the subjects of the course.
The dates for the exam are the 6th June at 9,30 am or the 9th June at 9,30 am.

Curriculum
Francesco Cattaneo è nato a Roma nel 1956 e si è laureato con lode in ingegneria elettronica al Politecnico di Milano nel 1981. Dopo un’esperienza di lavoro di un anno negli Stati Uniti ha svolto la maggior parte della sua carriera presso la società di ingegneria Intertecno S.p.A., presso la quale ha coperto ruoli di responsabile dell’ufficio tecnico impianti, project manager e responsabile della qualità per la filiale di Roma e con cui continua a collaborare.
Ha specifica competenza nel settore della riqualificazione di edifici storici per aver partecipato come project manager o coordinatore della progettazione in diversi importanti progetti di ristrutturazione di alberghi (tra cui Grand Hotel, Excelsior, De Russie, Intercontinental a Roma; Danieli e Europa Regina a Venezia) e palazzi uffici (tra cui Palazzo Tergesteo a Trieste).
Negli ultimi anni si è dedicato attivamente al settore dell’edilizia sostenibile e del benessere negli edifici. Si è specializzato nel protocollo LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), e ha acquisito la qualifica di LEED Accredited Professional. Collabora con la società Habitech, per la quale segue in particolare i settori della qualità ambientale interna, del commissioning degli impianti e dell’analisi ambientale ed energetica degli edifici esistenti.
E’ inoltre attivo nel campo della formazione e della divulgazione. E’ formatore LEED per conto del Green Building Council Italia e professore a contratto di Project Management presso la Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università La Sapienza di Roma. Ha partecipato come relatore a numerosi convegni sui temi dell’impiantistica e dell’energia e ha contribuito alla pubblicazione di due libri editi dalla Food & Agriculture Organization delle Nazioni Unite (FAO) sul tema della conservazione della biodiversità, dedicati rispettivamente al bacino del lago Ciad in Africa (2003) e al Caucaso (2010).
