Ofa: methods of fulfilling additional training obligations
The ranking placement below a certain threshold established in each call for applications may result in the assignment of an "Additional Educational Obligation" (OFA), which must be fulfilled according to the modalities specified in the specific call for applications, within the first year of the course.
If the additional educational obligation is not fulfilled within the first year, it will not be possible to sit for exams for subsequent years. All information regarding the OFA is available at the following link:

Apprenticeship
You will complete a specific internship each year of your degree program within the hospital company and centers affiliated with Sapienza.
FIRST YEAR - Learning Objectives:
- Be able to observe, describe, and evaluate the movement of a healthy individual.
- Be capable of performing basic patient transfers, respecting ergonomic principles.
- Be able to identify the simplest significant phenomena related to movement disorders.
- Be able to interact effectively with patients through appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
- Be able to integrate into the rehabilitation team, understanding the organization of the rehabilitation facility where the internship takes place and the roles of each team member.
- Be able to relate to classmates for the exchange of experiences, opinions, and knowledge.
SECOND YEAR - Learning Objectives:
In reference to the orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and pediatric rehabilitation areas:
- Recognize and describe the various pathologies relevant to rehabilitation.
- Have acquired the necessary skills to create a rehabilitation record.
- Be able to welcome and interact with patients, setting up an appropriate rehabilitation setting tailored to the individual case.
- Be able to observe and evaluate a patient, using tools, tests, and measurement scales to assess care, track progress, and evaluate discharge, in line with specific guidelines.
- Be able to identify and train patients on the use of specific aids and prosthetics, checking their level of acceptance and usability.
THIRD YEAR - Learning Objectives:
In reference to the cardiorespiratory, oncology, urology, and emergency medicine rehabilitation areas:
- Recognize and describe the various pathologies relevant to rehabilitation.
- Have acquired the necessary skills to create a rehabilitation record.
- Be able to welcome and interact with patients, setting up an appropriate rehabilitation setting tailored to the individual case.
- Be able to observe and evaluate a patient, using tools, tests, and measurement scales to assess care, track progress, and evaluate discharge, in line with specific guidelines.
- Be able to identify and train patients on the use of specific aids and prosthetics, checking their level of acceptance and usability.
- Be able to implement specific physiotherapy treatments under the supervision of a clinical tutor, achieving a level of autonomy consistent with the professional skills required in the third year.
Graduate
To be admitted to the final exam (Degree Examination), the student must have passed all the required exams, completed the required hours of internship attendance, and passed the related exam.
To obtain the Degree, the student must pass a final test consisting of:
a) a practical exam, in which the student must demonstrate having acquired the fundamental technical-practical skills and competencies specific to the professional profile;
b) the preparation of a thesis, under the supervision of an academic advisor, followed by its defense.
The thesis, related to topics or disciplines closely connected to the professional profile, may have a research, technical-applicative, or review-based focus. Students who fail the practical exam cannot proceed to the thesis defense.
Both parts of the final exam will take place before a Commission appointed according to the law, in compliance with the University Educational Regulations and the Faculty and Degree Course regulations. The Degree Examination also serves as a professional qualifying exam.
The final exam is organized into two sessions defined at the national level.

Job Orientation
Sapienza's Career Service supports students and graduates during the crucial transition from university to the world of work, offering a variety of services including:
- assistance and information about the services provided;

Work support is provided through specific activities organized by the Career Service and/or Faculties and other University structures, or in collaboration with companies, public or private external entities, and professional associations.
Career orientation activities may include seminars, workshops, and themed events focused on job orientation, transversal skills, and career management skills (e.g., soft skills, CV writing, job search strategies, video resumes, social networks, Employability Lab, etc.).
To facilitate connections with companies and organizations, events such as Recruiting Days, Career Days, Testimonial Days, company presentations, company visits, Assessments, Business Games, mentoring programs, and other placement-related initiatives—including those involving Alumni and corporate mentorships—are organized. These events can be held both online and in person and aim to identify the best candidates for the professional opportunities offered by businesses.
Seminars, workshops, and thematic events dedicated to placement (e.g., innovation, start-ups, business incubation, professional focus, Innovation Camp, etc.) are also available to students and graduates.
Students and graduates have access to the Sapienza JobTeaser platform to:
• create and customize their CV;
• apply for job opportunities aligned with their academic profile;
• consult the list of companies and associations registered on the platform and contact them independently;
• book places at recruiting events, company presentations, and Career Days.
Every year, the Career Service organizes the University-wide Career Day, dedicated to students and graduates from all eleven Faculties of Sapienza, as well as various thematic or Faculty-specific Career Days, such as the Career Day for Humanities and Social Sciences, Career Day for Economics and Law, and Career Day for STEM fields.
