Course program
Basic elements of pathological anatomy with particular reference to the pathology of the oral cavity. - general concepts and context; - specific study: esions of bone and mucosa of the oral cavity. The program is carried out during the first year and second semester of the degree course. I) Introductory lesson to Pathological Anatomy (3 hours); II) Lesson on odontogenic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours); III) Lesson on non-odontogenic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours); IV) Lecture on neoplastic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours).
Prerequisites
In order to understand the teaching contents and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities foreseen by the didactic module the student must possess the knowledge of anatomy and histology.
Books
For the examination of the exam, we suggest a theoretical deepening already from the beginning of the course attendance. For the purpose of consultation and in-depth study, the recommended books are: - P. Teaching mode
The teacher delivers lectures with traditional methods with audiovisual aids and scheduling of lessons as reported on GOMP Aule/Orari system, published on the website of the CdS. The program is carried out during the first year and second semester of the degree course. I) Introductory lesson to Pathological Anatomy (3 hours); II) Lesson on odontogenic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours); III) Lesson on non-odontogenic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours); IV) Lecture on neoplastic pathology of the oral cavity (3 hours).
Frequency
Following the Regulations of the CL, the student is required to attend educational activities, formal, non-formal, vocational. The frequency is checked by the teachers through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office, as established by CCL. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.
Exam mode
The evaluation of this course includes a multiple choice written quiz exam and oral exam, to pass the exam the student must obtain a grade of not less than 18/30. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired a sufficient knowledge of the contribution of pathological anatomy in dental pathology and of basic elements of morphological changes at the macroscopic, microscopic level of the lesions of the elements in relation to the most relevant diseases of the oral cavity. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must instead demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to connect them in a logical and coherent way. Written exemption: multiple choice quiz; Oral examination The dates of the exams (six sessions) are published on the CdS website in the relevant section.
