Course program
Main diagnostic fields of application of electron microscopy. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM): operating principles. Laboratory of electron microscopy: fixation, preparation of inclusions, ultra-microtomy, observation by transmission electron microscope. Basic protocol for the preparation of biological samples for ultrastructural examination (TEM) and identification of the main artifacts and preparation defects. Application (pre- or post-inclusion) in ultrastructural research.
Presentation of some research projects applying the techniques of Electron Microscopy.
