Common pediatric diseases • Respiratory system: Neonatal respiratory distress, inflammation of the upper and lower airways, bronchiolitis • Digestive system: Acute diarrhea, malabsorption • Infectious diseases characteristic of childhood • Vaccinations and current schedule in Italy Newborn problems • Physical examination of the newborn • Neonatal screening (mandatory and optional screening) • Auxological stages • Adaptation to postnatal life • Main neonatal malformations and pathologies • Breastfeeding and weaning • Neonatal jaundice

Ability to interpret the preventive, diagnostic, and rehabilitative aspects of health and disease issues in newborns, children, and adolescents, and the ability to identify appropriate care interventions
