COURSE PROGRAMM - Anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology and neurophysiology of the components of the stomatognathic system; - The clinical basis of dental occlusion, occlusal function and malocclusions; - The definition of mandibular movements and it’s evaluation; - Occlusion and posture which reports in a scientifically validated perspective; - Temporo Mandibular Disorders: Definition, epidemiology and classification; - Clinical instruments, static and dynamic physical tests; - Indications and limitations of other tools (stabilometric platform); - Pain: definition and neurophysiological bases and semiotics base for physiotherapy of orofacial pain; - Scientifically guided evaluation of rehabilitative therapy for patients with cranio-cervical-mandibular dysfunction; - The role of the physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of the TMD patients; - The bases other TMJ pathologies: malformation, traumatic, inflammatory, degenerative, neoplastic; - The role of the physiotherapist in a multidisciplinary team.
