Research methodology in rehabilitation. Outcome Research and Evidence Based Medicine (EBM). Search for literature using common search engines. Critical reading and preparation of a research. The idea of the
study and classification of scientific studies. Review of the literature. Ethical considerations. Drawing of a study. Evaluation methods and tools. Data collection. Analysis and presentation of data. Writing a scientific article.
Prerequisites
In order to understand the content of the teaching and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities provided for in the teaching module, the student must know the basics of scientific English and must have the computer knowledge of commonly used operating systems.
Books
For the completion of the exam, theoretical study is recommended from the beginning of the course. For the purpose of consultation, study, and to facilitate study, students will be provided with slides projected for lectures and scientific articles.
Frequency
The student is required to attend educational activities of the CDS. The frequency is checked by the teachers through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office, as established by CDS. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.
Exam mode
To pass the exam you must obtain a grade of not less than 18/30 in each module. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the topics covered in the program. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to link them in a logical and consistent way. The final exam will take place at the end of the course, with an overall evaluation. For the evaluation there is a final test, which will compete in equal measure with respect to the other modules of the course integrated in the determination of the final grade. For the purposes of the evaluation, the frequency, active participation and autonomous reasoning
and study capacity will be examined.
Lesson mode
The teacher provides frontal teaching with traditional methods, with audiovisual aids and with the scheduling of lessons as reported on the GOMP System Classrooms/Timetables and published on the web site of the CdS.
