Course objectives

At the end of the course the student must acquire the basic knowledge of the issues that have a greater interest in the dental field and the etiopathogenetic knowledge of diseases of the human body, deepening the knowledge of pathological anatomy with particular reference to the oral cavity. At the end of the course the student must have acquired the basic knowledge in the field of pathophysiology and clinical odontolostomatological diseases in pediatric and adult, the basic notions of epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and therapy of dental caries, pulpopathies, apical periodontitis and abscess and perimascellar and perimandibular phlegmons; must also know the principles of diagnosis and therapy of periodontal disease, the basics of epidemiology, the diagnosis and surgical treatment of the growth of the jaws, oral precancerosis, oral cavity tumors, salivary gland pathology and pathology of the temporomandibular joint.
