Upon completion of the course the student must know the first aid procedures and the procedures used to induce analgesia in the dental patient and for the assistance of the main forms of urgent therapeutic intervention. He must know the main surgical diseases with particular interest in the most important acute syndromes. The course provides the student with the ability to recognize a disease of surgical interest. Must know the phenomena underlying the main effects, side effects and toxic of the classes of drugs of dental interest; It must know the main internist pathologies, those with greater mortality and morbidity and connected to oral health, in particular diabetes mellitus. Upon completion of the course the student must know how to apply the primary first aid techniques; Must be able to recognize the risks associated with the administration of analgesic drugs; Must be able to recognize the acute symptoms related to the major internal diseases that may have an impact on his professional role.
