Course program
Hyperthermia: Physiopathology of thermoregulation. Hyperthermia and fever. Endogenous and exogenous pyrogens. Types of fever. Physiology and physiopathology of glucose metabolism: Endocrine pancreas. Pathophysiology of diabetes. Physiopathology of blood and hemostasis: anemias and coagulopathies. Physiopathology of circulatory system: Hypertension, shock, emorrhages, thrombosis, embolism, myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis. Physiopathology of digestive system: stomach, liver and pancreas diseases. Alterations of digestion and intestinal absorption. Pathophysiology of Ear.
Prerequisites
In order to understand the teaching content and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities foreseen by the didactic module the student must possess basic knowledge of physics, chemical, medical genetics, physiology, hystology, anatomy , biology and general pathology.

Frequency
The frequency is checked by the teacher through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office, as established by CdS. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.
Exam mode
The student must attend a written test and an oral interview to demonstrate he has acquired, as well as is able to explain, the main and fundamental concepts of Physiopathology. At the end of the course the student must know the principles underlying the alteration of the physiology of the main organs/ apparatus.
Lesson mode
The teacher delivers the lectures with traditional methods, with audiovisual aids and with scheduling of the lessons as reported on the GOMP System and published on the CdS website. There are two lessons per week lasting two hours each. The e-learning platform will be used as a teaching aid. Slides presented in class will also be provided
