Interpretation of statistical tables Constituent elements of scientific tables, types of tables (baseline characteristics, results, group comparisons), reading and interpretation of descriptive and inferential data, recognition of common errors in tabular presentation. Interpretation of statistical graphs Types of graphs used in nursing research (bar, line, scatter, box-plot, pie, Kaplan-Meier), elements of an effective graph, critical evaluation of visual representations, identification of misleading representations. Construction and validation of questionnaires Development phases of a data collection instrument, types of questions and measurement scales, validated scales in nursing, validity and reliability of instruments, pre-testing and revision. Knowledge dissemination Scientific communication methods (publications, conferences, presentations), preparation of posters and oral presentations, management reports and patient communication, translation of statistical results into clinically relevant messages.
