Course objectives

Knowledge of the basics of Clinical Psychology and clinical methodology used to psychological diagnosis, support, treatment. Knowledge of the psychopathological aspects and personality disorders for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of Mental Health.Awareness of one’s own role in group work with other professionals.

Course program
• Introduction to Clinical Psychology for the Mental Health. • Clinical Methodology for knowledge of the personality and support operations and psychotherapy in the development phases and life cycle. • Mental Health and psychopathology. Protective factors and risk factors for mental health. The Psycological and clinical approach to the main mental disorders. • The psychological diagnosis: clinical interview, personality tests, cognitive tests. • The psychological support to the patient, to the family, to the operator for: the pediatric patient, the surgical patient, patient in reanimation and intensive care, the chronic patient, the patient terminal. • The psychotherapeutic treatment individual psychotherapy, group, family. • Psychotherapy and reference models (psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, gestalt, systemic-relational). • Awareness of the professional role expressed in competence, efficiency and effectiveness in the group work and with other professional figures.
