OTHER USEFUL SKILLS FOR INCLUSION IN THE WORLD OF WORK

Course objectives

At the end of the Design Course, the student is called to carry out an additional activities (8 cfu) useful for the approach to the world of work. These activities consist of: 1. work activities or internships, performed independently by the student during the course of study, provided they are relevant to the training objectives of the CDL; 2. curricular training internship (Jobsoul), carried out in qualified Italian or foreign structures: companies, professional firms, research centers. 3. workshops organized specifically by the Degree Course. Essential competencies and skills: In according to the Dublin Descriptors, the objectives of this Course are: - to orientate and facilitate the future professional choices of the student; - to carry out an introductory training experience and support the work of the final exam, as much as possible integrated to one of the two Final Synthesis Laboratories, depending on the Curricula chosen. - learning skills for a constant methodological and content update - ability to learn autonomously and in continuity with one's own knowledge and skills, also identifying autonomous courses of study for the future (Master 1°level, Master of Science). Course Organization: Approved the type of activity (or through Jobsoul procedure - if it is a Company-Internship - or through the formal ok by the President of the CdS if this is otherwise), the student will be able to book the examination call which will consist in the verification of documents (respectively by the Faculty Internship Office or by the designated professor), of the truthfulness and the correspondence of the developed activity. Assessment methods: Learning is verified during the preparation of the degree Final Exam, by the supervisor.

Course program
The educational path of the Study Course in Design is a three-year degree course structured in a first and second year aimed at forming the basics of the discipline in the various fields of design, and in a third year - organized in two curricula chosen by the student - aimed at deepening specific areas of design or in a: Curriculum in Product Design and Curriculum in Design for Visual Communication, for the Exhibit and for the Public Space. The training course aims to provide the main project tools in the various fields of practice of the technical-design professions and in particular on industrial product design, on design for communication and graphics, on design for public spaces. The resulting professional figure is that of a "project technician" capable of carrying out the multiple technical-planning activities of support and assistance to the project from the moment of conception to design, up to development and production and distribution in the market. In particular, the last year is dedicated to preparing the student for the world of work, on the one hand by providing the tools to understand and manage innovation in an economic and marketing key, on the other by guaranteeing him a more targeted training towards his own attitudes, choosing between two curricula, one dedicated to the industrial product (industry 4.0, Internet of things and digital manufacturing), the other dedicated to the theme of product communication created both through graphic and multimedia design, and through the creation of public spaces . Internship and training activities In the last semester of study, the student is asked to spend 200 hours (8 credits) in training activities useful to facilitate his insertion into the world of work.

Frequency
1. internships, carried out in companies registered on the www.jobsoul.it portal, by responding to a specific advertisement by applying for a self-application. The registration of companies to the portal is free and guarantees the student insurance coverage in the internship activity. Once the internship has been completed, the student will deliver the appropriate form for the end of the internship to the internship secretariat and the secretariat will regularize eligibility on infostud. 2. extra training activities organized by the Design Degree Program and pre-approved by the Teaching Committee / President of the Degree Program. These activities may include specific activities carried out by the student independently (such as internships carried out in non-certified jobsoul companies), as long as they are relevant to the teaching objectives of the degree program. For the recognition of this type of activity the student must: a. book for one of the internship sessions via infostud; b. fill in and have the CdL President sign the cfu form, attaching a detailed report with training objectives and skills acquired, of the activities carried out for the 200 hours (or parts of them).
